Martha’s Dandee Creme: Lake Geroge, NY

We like Big Ice Cream and we can not Lie

Lake George is an absolute dream destination with over 30 miles of lake to boat around. In downtown Lake George, Canada Street is where it’s at. There is so much to do and eat and the street has a boardwalk feel to it. It’s not right on the water but it’s one block up from the lake.

The majority of activities to do are outside so make sure the weather is nice when you visit. There’s boating, wineries, breweries, horseback riding, steamboats, hiking, all the awesome things to do outdoors and The Great Escape, which is a theme park.

Right across from The Great Escape, in Queensbury, NY is a massive ice cream parlor. There are many long lines but don’t let that deter you from grabbing some ice cream, the lines move fast. Martha’s Dandee Creme is known for their thick soft serve and HUGE portion sizes. A kiddie was big enough for me!

Martha’s has a daily menu and a permanent menu. The flavors on the daily menu change and the permanent menu, you guessed it, stays the same. Soft serve is something they know how to do. I got cotton candy with rainbow sprinkles. Tasted like the hard ice cream cotton candy you used to get as a kid. I would recommend the marble cake flavor, it tastes like a more intense twist.

Don’t want ice cream? Not a problem, Martha’s Dandee has a section of food as well. Don’t pay those awful food prices at the amusement park when you can just go across the street for some delicious grub.

Verdict: Yay
