Little Debbie Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Review

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

Little Debbie is a mastermind and a darn good baker I will have to say. She has many delicious treats that we all know, love, and enjoy. To think of what my favorite Little Debbie baked good is just too much to comprehend, there’s too many good ones to choose from. But on that note Little Debbie has made her way into the ice cream scene more recently, and the packaging is super cute!

There are quite a few flavors like Oatmeal Creme Pies, Cosmic Brownies, Zebra Cakes, Honey Buns, Strawberry Shortcake Rolls, Swiss Rolls, Nutty Bars, Birthday Cakes, Unicorn Cakes, Fudge Rounds, Star Crunch, Pumpkin Delights (seasonally), Christmas Tree Cakes (seasonally). The one that enticed me at the time was the Strawberry Shortcake Rolls.

Strawberry flavored anything is usually always a hit. The ice cream had a prominent strawberry flavor, which is something that I liked. But there was a very grainy texture to the ice cream. It was not smooth and silky. Now some people may enjoy that but for me that was a pass. It was grainy because there were bits and pieces of the roll throughout the ice cream. That part was not enjoyable.

Although this particular flavor was not my most favorite I would indeed like to give the other ones a try. I see what Little Debbie was trying to do there by putting pieces of the actual baked goods in the ice cream, and it’s a clever idea, but it did not work for this flavor.

Something that could save this flavor would be to turn it into a milkshake. Which is something I may end up doing with the rest of the pint of ice cream.

What do you think? Have any of you tried any Little Debbie Ice Creams?

Verdict: Nay
