Cows Ice Cream: Niagara-on-the-Lake

Niagara-on-the-Lake

Ice cream is always a fan favorite even for us lactose intolerant folks. The dairy doesn’t scare us away. Never has, never will. Cows ice cream at Niagara-on-the-Lake had me mooing for more.

Niagara-on-the-Lake is in Ontario, Canada and is a 19th century preserved and quaint village right in the heart of Ontario’s wine country. It has so much to offer from beautiful views, food, shopping, history, hotels and bed & breakfast’s, the oldest golf course in North America, and most importantly WINE. This is one of the most beautiful towns in Canada and is only a short 15 minute drive away from Niagara Falls. So don’t miss out.

While walking through the village we stumbled upon so many different ice cream and gelato parlors. SO MANY. I had no idea I was going to be faced with such a tough decision on where to get my ice cream from. Thank god we came across Cows and decided to give it a try. Once you stepped foot indoors the smell was intoxicating, it smelled just like homemade waffle cones. There of course was a line but that gave me a chance to check out their flavors, because there are quite a few.

Cows creamy ice cream flavors

Cows ice cream is homemade using Prince Edward Island milk with the use of 16% butterfat. You could taste the difference of just how creamy, rich, and smooth the ice cream was because of the butterfat. I decided to get a single scoop of the Gooey Mooey. Oh mama it was good. The ice cream consisted of a vanilla toffee base, with English toffee marble, caramel cups and chocolate flakes. So flavorful and the caramel was soft and “drippy” not hard as a rock. The way the ice cream was all frozen together was divine and also tasted fresh.

My mom got the same order as me with just 2 scoops instead and as for my dad he got a single scoop of the White Chocolate Raspdairy and Very Dairy Chocolate Cherry. The White Chocolate Raspdairy was vanilla ice cream, with white chocolate flavoring, and a raspberry swirl. It had an incredible flavor. The raspberry swirl punched your taste buds with flavor and was almost like an ice cream jam. It was phenomenal. The very dairy chocolate cherry was cherry ice cream with chocolate flakes and marble. It had a strong cherry flavor but nonetheless was delicious.

So so happy that we stopped in at Cows the creaminess of the ice cream was worth the wait. I love getting to try new ice cream parlors and flavors, it’s honestly one of my favorite hobbies lol. What’s your favorite ice cream place?

Verdict: Yay
