Camden Market: London, England

London is full of food markets and there’s just not enough time to hit all of them! Camden Market was the first one my sister and I tried and then Borough Market a few days later. There are many other places to try the market foods but I’m glad we made it to two of them.

Camden Town: What to Expect?

Camden is very different from other parts of London. It is VERY densely populated and trying to get on the tube right in Camden is a nightmare. The people there are also different… a lot of different walks of life but nevertheless very fun to visit. If you’re interested in seeing a different vibe of London Camden Town is definitely a place to see.

Camden Market is just a few minutes walk from the underground. This market is huge, populated, and overstimulating. They have a ton of different food options from hot made to order to pastries. It was extremely hard to decide on what to try here because the food just kept coming and coming. Besides food the market offers shopping for accessories, clothes, jewelry, and so much more. It takes awhile to make it through the market so if you’re planning on exploring Camden plus the market you’re going to need a chunk of time carved out.

Camden Market: THE FOOD

The lines for the food were not terrible, just a very crowded area. We stopped at Camden Coffee and got a pistachio croissant. This was very good. Extremely crunchy, flavorful and filled with pistachio to just the right amount. My only grievance would be that I felt that it tasted like it was sitting out for a long time. Not stale but very cold.

Next stop was London Churros, we shared a stuffed churro with Nutella. The outside was crunchy and the inside was soft with the Nutella filled on the inside. It was a bit on the smaller side of churros I have had but still delicious.

Flavor was on point but I feel that I needed to come to Camden for the croissant and churro. I could’ve found the same or better elsewhere in London. The made to order food might be a different story but I unfortunately didn’t get the chance to try any of that. Camden was cool to see but I definitely would choose Borough Market over Camden Market any day of the week. Like I said previously be prepared to be overwhelmed when visiting a lot to see and a lot is happening. But a very interesting and different place here in London.

Verdict: Nay
