Ralphie’s Cafe Italiano: Salem, NH

Italian Food is the Best Food

Homemade pasta and sauce, my favorite!

I am a sucker for an authentic Italian restaurant. Nothing beats fresh pasta and homemade sauce. You can taste the freshness and know that hard work went into preparing your meal as opposed to store bought pasta and sauce. If I find out there is house made pasta and sauce I’m there. You don’t have to convince me any further.

A few weeks ago I had a wedding to attend in New Hampshire. I stayed in Salem, New Hampshire where I found the most delicious Italian restaurant. I love going to new places and finding GOOD food. Nothing compares to that, and I found the place by just a quick google search. Shout out to google reviews!!!

Ralphie’s Cafe Italiano is the restaurant in Salem, New Hampshire. It was pretty busy when I got there but I did not have to wait for a table and the food came out decently fast.

Now you may start to see a pattern of the dishes I get to review. One of them is mine and the other one is frequently my boyfriend’s. Side note, my boyfriend get chicken parmigiana almost everywhere we go. So there will be lots of Chicken Parmigiana reviews going forward lol. He is a chicken parm connoisseur and harshly critiques every one he has.

The bread they give you ahead of time was extremely light, it was almost as if it wasn’t even there. It was not dense at all. I loved that.

My dish was homemade cheese raviolis. LET ME TELL YOU. Absolutely incredible. They were shaped more round and had a high dome on top filled with cheese and they were swimming in the homemade red sauce. Perfection. The best red sauce I have had out at a restaurant ever.

The chicken and spaghetti were covered in the red sauce as well and the cutlets were seasoned and breaded almost to perfection. A very good dish to get as well. The chicken was just a little bit too thick for our liking. But nothing bad about this dish. (Like I said it’s hard to impress my boyfriend at this point with chicken parmigiana).

Not only would I recommend you go to Ralphie’s Cafe Italiano but I urge you to go if you are ever near Salem, NH. Which is only about a half hour from Boston, so very close proximity to the city.

Nothing better than authentic, genuine Italian cuisine, it just feels like you’re in Italy for the night.

What’s your favorite Italian restaurant to visit?

Verdict: Yay
