What's your favorite grocery store?
Wegmans is the King of grocery stores. If you don’t have a Wegmans around or have never shopped or eaten there it needs to be put on your bucket list.
The original Wegmans can be found in Rochester, NY. The stores are currently only located in the Northeast United States but that doesn’t mean expansion won’t happen.
Where to begin…
I’ll start by saying Wegmans is like Disney. You’re happy there, the food quality is great and so are their Bakery, Market Cafe, and Old Fashioned Sub Shop sections. Wegmans also has restaurants separate from the grocery store. I have never been but I definitely will be at some point.
Take me to the sub shop...
Let’s talk about their subs, which are next level. Wegmans didn’t come up with these subs all on their own though. They consulted with a local popular sub shop called Dibella’s in order to get the subs just right. Wegmans and Dibella’s have very similar subs and that is why.
Every sub shop has their own way of doing things and ingredients you can put on. Wegmans is most famous for their oil. When ordering a cold sub always get that oil, it adds just an extra something. The rolls are thick and loaded with toppings, you have the option of a hot or cold sub. An everything roll with turkey is my personal favorite. They are quite filling subs and if you can finish a large by yourself you should give yourself a pat on the back. Go shop at Wegmans they have many gems but more importantly go get that sub!
